Finding God in the ordinary rhythms of daily life.
Ordinary Time is not “ordinary” in the sense of dull or unimportant. It is the season of steady growth — the long, green stretch of the Church’s year where we walk with Jesus in His ministry. In Year C, we follow the Gospel of Luke, a Gospel of compassion, mercy, and the wideness of God’s love.
Pray for these graces as you walk with Luke’s Gospel.
Luke shows Jesus noticing the overlooked — the poor, women, sinners, the marginalised. Ask for the grace to see as He sees.
Ordinary Time invites daily acts of kindness and reconciliation — letting mercy become habit.
Like green fields that slowly ripen, let your soul grow quietly in faithfulness through small, daily steps.
Simple ways to pray through Ordinary Time (2025).
Pray with each Sunday’s Gospel from Luke; place yourself in the story.
Each evening, ask: Where did I show mercy today? Where did I resist mercy?
Speak with Jesus as friend and guide about what you learn from His ministry in Luke.
Find God in the “ordinary” blessings: meals, conversations, work, rest.
“Lord Jesus, companion on the road, open my eyes to see You in the daily journey. May I grow steadily in faith, hope, and love — even in the ordinary moments of life.”
